Bang Khun Thian – Ban Phaeo Motorway M82 Project
Is a part of the Bang Khun Thian – Pak Thor Intercity Motorway Project, which has been implemented in compliance with Thailand’s Intercity Motorway Development Master Plan, B.E. 2560 – 2579 (2017 – 2036) and listed in the first 10 years’ implementation plan (2017 -2026), aiming to serve as an effective transportation and logistics link between Bangkok and its vicinity, including the southern region in the course of time.

With reference to the cabinet resolution dated December 13, 2022, the Department of Highways, under the Ministry of Transport, was given a green light to proceed with an implementation of the Public-Private Partnership for Operation and Maintenance (O&M), Bang Khun Thian – Ban Phaeo Motorway M82 Project, not only to urgently cope with the traffic congestion on Rama II Road which has long existed, but also to serve as another high-standard road transport network that can increase both the traffic capacity and the economic development potential of the project-surrounding, including its adjacent, areas.
